Davis and Miss Scottie. . . .

Today, my prayers were answered! ha! I have been talking to Scottie about babysitting for us, and today we finally met. She came over to meet Davis, and they really hit it off! I have been so worried that I wasn't going to find the "right" babysitter, and I have found exactly what I have hoped for! I know she thinks I'm OCD/paranoid because I asked her for references and a lot of questions, and she has passed the test in every way! I was hoping she would either already be CPR certified or let us pay for her to get certified, but today she shows up and without even asking about it, she shows me her driver's license and her CPR certification!! Then she wiped her hands with an alcohol wipe before holding Davis. She's hired!! You know I'm all about clean hands! ha! She and Davis are going to have so much fun! She's so sweet!

Davis with Gigi and Buck

Davis's great-grandparents, Mamie and Buck Kellogg

Weekend in West Point

Amy and I went home this weekend, and took Davis and Cooper. It was so much fun! Davis is really interested in everything Cooper does. He watches his every move, and wants to play with him so badly. But, he's too little. Mom and Dad had a Sigma Chi reunion in Starkville Friday and Saturday night, so Amy and I just relaxed, looked at old pictures and caught up which was nice. Saturday afternoon, Dad finally got us to take pictures of Davis on the "old" tractor. Cooper was too scared even though the tractor wasn't even running! ha! This tractor is really, really old. It has been at our farm for many, many years. It was my grandfather's. It is from the 1940s, and Dad decided he would get it up and running??? So, he had someone do a little work on it, he painted it, and it runs!! I don't think he has any intentions of using it because he already has a tractor that he uses here and there. Anyway, it's really special because it was Davis's great-grandfather's (Kellogg) tractor. I would give anything if Davis and Michael could've known him. What a wonderful, generous man he was--full of wisdom and integrity. It's hard to believe it's been 11 years this month since he passed away. . . .

Davis is trying to crawl. . .

Davis is really starting to figure it out! He has been scooting backwards and in a circle, but now he is pulling his legs underneath himself and rocking back and forth. He wants to move around so badly! It won't be long before I'm chasing him everywhere!!! Another new trick of his is clapping his hands. I think he started to pick this one up at Kindermusik. We clap a lot at Kindermusik, and he loves it!

Beach Trip with Michael's Family

We went to Orange Beach with Michael's family for a few days. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone, and being at the beach! Davis enjoyed being with all of his cousins, and getting lots of attention. Davis loved the sand, and had a great time splashing in the pool!
